I set out to write a song in 7/8...a difficult time signature at the best of times. I ended up writing a lot of words, backing them with tough harmonies, making it extra tricky for both Jason and Naja to sing. Thank you both so much for wonderful performances!

Try to come up with something fresh 
It’s more instinctive than a game of chess
Eureka, cry, and then a sigh
As someone squashed, it just won’t fly

When does that flash of inspiration come
Under the moon or maybe sun
Some unknown spark forever bliss
It doesn’t matter when it is

Take the praise, that beam of joy
Cos you are playing with a brand new toy
Its yours, this thought, this spark of light
Forever more, you are the knight

The power comes when you are free
This momentary creativity
Grasp it, hold it, keep it close
Tomorrow they’ll steal it, online they’ll post

Non judgmental, free speech alert
Roll up the sleeves of your pink shirt 
Let it flow, the notes collide
Don’t think for a second, its suicide

Its very rare, its not the norm
Here it comes, a huge brainstorm
